Announcement: Online Passport Applications
DG I&P, in collaboration with NADRA, is pleased to announce the introduction of passport renewal services for the general public through the PakID mobile application. Citizens can now conveniently access and process passport services through PakID mobile app. Now, Passport applicants can verify their fingerprints directly through the PAKID mobile application at the fingerprint upload stage replacing manual fingerprints capturing method. This addition is meant to simplify the process and support applicants in completing their online passport applications with greater ease.
Important Announcement About MRP Queries
The timings for queries relating to Machine Readable Passport (MRP) are now 1500 - 1600 hrs for convenience of general public. Passports are usually ready for collection as per the given date and time.
Important: UK E-Visa Requirement
You may have a share code, but please note that it is not accepted as a proof of immigration status. Kindly print your E-Visa (Immigration Status) page and bring it for processing of your passport application.
Important Announcement - Machine Readable Passport Appointments:
The Machine Readable Service is strictly by appointment only. Walk-in applicants will not be entertained. At the Consulate General of Pakistan Manchester, we follow a queue management system, and applicants who miss their scheduled time slot will automatically be placed at the end of the queue, it is, therefore, very important to please bring all required documents in original, along with the photocopies made at home to avoid unnecessary delay. The appointments for Machine Readable Passports are opened every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. on weekly basis (Monday - Friday). All applicants are requested to book a prior appointment for MRP services by clicking the following link:
MRP Appointments
Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) are issued in conformity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. Ever since the installation of Machine Readable Passport (MRP) facility at the High Commission in London and all its Consulates in the UK, issuance of manual passports has been phased out. Machine Readable Passport (MRP) are currently being issued from the Consulate General of Pakistan Manchester since 2015.
MRP office operates on the principal of live data capturing so applicants’ presence (with required documents) is compulsory to process the application.
Applicants’ data entry, photo, signature and thumb impression capturing are done by trained MRP staff using latest technology.
Applicants DO NOT need any application forms or photographs for MRP applications as it is done by MRP staff during application process.
MRP Services are appointment only and applicants visiting the Consulate General of Pakistan, Manchester will need a prior appointment for application processing.
