On Thursday, 9th July 2026, the Consulate General of Pakistan in Manchester had the pleasure of welcoming students and two faculty members from Year 9 of North Cestrian School, Manchester, for an inspiring and interactive visit.
Head of Chancery Mr. Owais Hussain personally led the students on a tour of the Consulate’s facilities, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at how diplomatic missions operate and the vital role they play in strengthening ties between nations. The students were also shown a documentary highlighting Pakistan’s rich culture, history, and diversity — from its ancient civilizations to its vibrant modern-day landscape.
The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the engaging Q&A session with Consul General Mr. Imtiaz Gondal, where curious young minds asked thoughtful questions about Pakistan, diplomacy, and the work of the Consulate. Their enthusiasm and sharp questions were a wonderful reminder of why we make time for these visits — every young person we welcome through our doors is a future bridge-builder between communities and cultures.
At the Consulate, we believe that engaging with youth is one of the most meaningful investments we can make. Visits like these don’t just teach students about Pakistan — they plant seeds of curiosity, respect, and connection that can grow for years to come. Introducing the next generation to different cultures, histories, and global perspectives is exactly the kind of public diplomacy that builds lasting understanding.
We were delighted by the energy, curiosity, and thoughtful engagement shown by the students and staff of North Cestrian School, and we look forward to welcoming more schools and young visitors in the future. To every teacher and institution in our jurisdiction — our doors are always open for educational visits that help build bridges between our communities.
Thank you to North Cestrian School for making this visit such a memorable one! 🎓🤝
